Physocarpus capitatus Pacific nine bark | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Pacific nine bark is a tall shrub to eight feet with dense clusters of small white flowers. Resembles spiraea but with peeling layers of bark - hence the common name. Grows along waterways in wet, somewhat open spaces. Best uses are a screen or 'filler' plant between larger trees, where it helps create 'walls' in woodland settings. |
