Red currant has showy bright red flower clusters in early spring with equally attractive leaves emerging.  Now commonly grown for ornamental appeal or to share the fruit with birds.  Sensitive to over watering.  Tall to 10 feet, free suckering habit.  This has become on of my favorites for ease of growth and overall appearance.
